Brian represents property owners in eminent domain and land use litigation. He has represented property owners whose property is targeted for condemnation by a variety of authorities including TriMet, Lane Transit District and other public entities in Oregon. Brian has successfully navigated legal issues regarding regulatory takings and inverse condemnation proceedings.
Brian works with business clients and their owners to find unique and effective solutions to an assortment of issues, from resolving contract disputes to compliance with noncompetition agreements. He relies on his litigation experience to assist his clients in developing practical, cost-effective solutions that avoid the need for future litigation.

Brian has acquired significant experience in healthcare law from successfully defending a variety of medical malpractice cases to representing physicians in medical board matters. His clients rely on his familiarity with a wide range of healthcare specific issues including HIPAA regulations and compliance, the Affordable Care Act as well as peer-review and other evidentiary issues in Oregon and Washington. Brian’s experience with healthcare litigation assists his clients in developing practices and strategies to avoid future litigation.

Prior to law school, Brian worked as a manager for a prominent retailer where he gained valuable experience managing multiple aspects of the business.
